In spring 2025, the 25th Young Scientists Congress will take place in Stuttgart. We warmly invite you to connect and broaden your horizons with a diverse program full of exciting insights into current research.
When and Where? The 25th Young Scientists Congress will be held from March 26th to March 30th, 2025 in Stuttgart and surrounding area, including Tübingen. We will start on Wednesday afternoon and finish after five days full of activities on Sunday afternoon, ensuring all participants can travel back home safely.
Who? You! All university students, high school students aged 16 and above, doctoral candidates, and young professionals with an interest in scientific and technical research or in entrepreneurship are invited to participate in the Congress
Program: From Wednesday evening to Sunday afternoon, we will present an exciting program featuring lectures, workshops, panels, and excursions. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, there will be opportunities for excursions to interesting companies and research institutions in the Stuttgart metropolitan area. This includes the institute of Medical Device Technology of the University of Stuttgart, the Thermal Wind Tunnel of the FKFS or a Rainwater Overflow Basin. On Saturday, the annual general meeting of juFORUM e.V. will take place. Throughout the event, there will be plenty of networking opportunities to make new connections. And, of course, a closing party is not to be missed!

Registration: You can find the registration for the Congress 2025 at the end of this page. Places are limited. Registration is initially open for the first 80 places. As soon as funding is secured, we will try to gradually open up more places. Early Bird tickets are available at a reduced price until December 31, 2024. This means being quick pays off twice :)
Cancellation from your side is free up to nine weeks before the Congress. After that, cancellation is only free if someone from the waiting list takes your place. Within 21 days of the event, in the event of a cancellation, 100% of the participant fee will be charged.
Costs: For the Congress, we charge a participant fee. Here are our ticket prices:

The ticket price includes accommodation at DJH Stuttgart International Youth Hostel and three meals per day (breakfast is not included when booking without accommodation).
By the way, our associated membership is free in the first year. If you decide to opt for an associated membership during registration, you can save a bit of money.
The real costs for the Congress are over 450€ per person. However, in order to enable everyone to attend the Congress, we are trying to keep the actual participation fee as low as possible. Therefore, we would like to offer the possibility to pay an increased participation fee on a voluntary basis. If you would be willing to do so, please indicate this in the registration survey.
If you or your parents cannot afford the participation fee, please reach out to our chairperson for finances (anna.langerenken@juforum.de). She will work with you to find a sustainable and mutually satisfactory solution.
As a member, you can conveniently pay by direct debit if you have provided us with a SEPA mandate. This is also possible for non-members. The deduction of your participant fee will take place approximately eight weeks before the event. Alternatively, you can transfer the participation fee to us. Please do this at the latest eight weeks before the event. The bank details will be communicated to you via email after registration. If your participation fee has not been received at least eight weeks before the event, we will automatically cancel your place and allocate it to a person on the waiting list.
Accessibility and Awareness: We are currently developing a concept to make participation in the Young Scientists Congress accessible to as many people as possible and create a discrimination-free atmosphere. We aim to make the offerings as barrier-free as possible and transparently communicate the accessibility at locations we cannot actively influence. We will add more information in the coming months. If you have any wishes or ideas on how we can make participation as comfortable and straightforward as possible for you and everyone else, please send a feedback to congress2025@juforum.de. If you require special support for your participation (e.g., wheelchair-accessible accommodation), please also contact congress2025@juforum.de before registering.
We also want to note that participants under the age of 18 will need to submit a document from their parents or legal guardians expressing their consent. We will send you this document after registration.
